Chester Lions Club recently finished paying for and building a sports field at Plas Bellin, centre of work for the charity Save the Family. Over £5000 was raised. Now children from the families being helped by this charity have a sports field to play on and a small pavillion to use next to it. This is one example of how Lions not only raise money for good causes, but also roll their sleeves up and get involved in the building projects themselves. President Frank Marnell is pictured with some of the beneficiaries at the opening ceremony.
